I set out to photograph this recent snowfall along Eakin Creek West on this 2nd day of the New Year

I was up by 4:00 am to catch the sunrise at Wildflower Lake and at the trailhead by 4:30 am

Crab apple trees are in full bloom as the morning sunlight illuminates the vibrant colors of their flowers with Wildflower Lake close behind at Wildflower Park

I thought this scene would be perfect to photograph as you can only see to the bridge and nothing beyond which helps bring about that ethereal feeling

LEADING THE WAY TO AN ETHEREAL MOMENT ENVIRONMENTALISM I set out to photographThe forecast this morning was for foggy conditions until late morning so, photographing any kind of sunrise was out of the question. I left the house before 5: am and after photographing the wildflowers for a couple hours, the fog was still about and peaked my interest to find subjects that would help compliment the atmosphere that the fog brought to the landscape. With this type of atmosphere, I like photographing the landscape in black and white.
