Neyers Pinot Noir Placida Vineyard 2015 sku_2133416 was appointed Governor of JamaicaThe fruit for this wine is from Chuy Ordazs Placida Vineyard, on the Gold Ridge Clay of the Russian River Valley, west of Santa Rosa. They harvest the fruit by hand, sort the berries, remove 50% of the stems, ferment in open top fermenters using native, wild yeast, and they punch down the cap manually several times daily. The wine is subsequently aged for one year in 60 gallon French oak barrels and has its own unique Burgundian profile.
