The sun was just breaking the tree tops from the forest behind illuminating the prairie and the many wildflowers during the early morning hours

After photographing the sunset from the creek

I came upon these three (one off camera) green herons up in this dead peachleaf willow tree along Eakin Creek West at Wildflower Park

A SOFT LIGHT OF THE CATTAIL GEESE The wildflowers this year wereI had been photographing the wildflowers and sunrise for about forty five minutes now when this scene unfolded. With the sun breaking the horizon just above the box elder trees that line the banks of Eakin Creek West, the morning sun produced a soft light that illuminated this prairie landscape scene with a cattail emerging from the wetland at Wildflower Park.
