ICY LANDSCAPE FROM THE PARK WILDFLOWER LAKE A winter afternoon snowfall coversA freezing rain storm passed through the night before, leaving behind a landscape engulfed in an icy winter wonderland scene along the South Fork Kishwaukee River. Trees of oak, cottonwood, box elder and peachleaf willow are frozen in almost an inch of ice with the river moving quickly along avoiding most of the freezing except along the banks at Wildflower Park.
