the muskrat is native to North America and has been introduced to other areas of the world

I started to look for patterns with color and found many cloud subjects to choose from

I was pretty excited about the encounter

I had been photographing the common loons for a few days and on this particular morning I was hoping one or two of the loons would come closer to the banks of the lake then they had the previous days

A MAJESTIC SCENE ALONG THE SOUTH FORK KISHWAUKEE RIVER DOWNY WOODPECKERS I enjoy photographing this treeAfter an overnight snowfall and freezing rain grip this landscape scene, the South Fork Kishwaukee River begins to freeze from the edges inward as the afternoon sunlight illuminates this landscape giving the river an amazing deep color blue. Box elder trees along the river, a couple of oak trees, peachleaf willow and cottonwood trees in the area are engulfed in crystals from the freezing rain at Wildflower Park. (536 123)
