1970s Quilted Ring lost classics and hangs from a doubleWonderful oddness from the 1970s. An 18 carat gold ring seemingly modelled after a quilted jacked or blanket the head spreads out over the finger with cross hatch openwork forming patches of buttery, patinated gold that's taken on a gorgeous semi matte finish. Where the lines intersect, we find gemstones: bright blood red rubies and icy brilliant cut diamonds. English import marks warrant the gold at 18 carat and date it to 1977. It's likely Italian.
