waited a couple more minutes until the colors really began to come alive and began photographing the sunrise at Wildflower Lake

I decided to go off trail to capture the sunlight as it penetrated through to the forest floor and illuminate the autumn colors of maple

I looked for more subjects nearby as the colors were still strong and beautiful

I didn't plan on doing any close up photography of the wildflowers in the area

became my focus as I thought it was a beautiful and scenic moment with very good lighting

A MYSTERIOUS MOOD IN THE PARK Size:20x30 FINE ART PAPER waited a couple more minutesThe forecast this morning was for foggy conditions until late morning so, photographing any kind of sunrise was out of the question. I left the house before 5: am and after photographing the wildflowers for a couple hours, the fog was still about and peaked my interest to find subjects that would help compliment the atmosphere that the fog brought to the landscape. With this type of atmosphere, I like photographing the landscape in black and white.
