I have had the good fortune to experience this mother during previous years

Mount Rundle pictured here is the “rock” that we identify our mountain town with

the Northern Lights began shortly after dark and lasted until the early morning

and hence need to bulk up during the cold winter months for their summer “walking hibernation”

This image was taken in late May when the Bow Valley experienced a storm that lasted several hours. You could almost feel the electricity in the air as I waited for the storm to reach the sport over Rundle Ridge where I hoped to capture it.
