WATCHING THE WOODPECKERS TREES A winter afternoon snowfall coversAfter photographing the pair of red bellied woodpeckers, I notice a male downy woodpecker nearby probing the tree branches for insects. Sometimes these small woodpeckers can be difficult to photograph as they are quick and can be elusive when they are climbing the trees in search for insects. Fortunately, this male wasn't moving to quickly as I take a series of photographs of him moving slowly towards the outer branches of the tree at Wildflower Park.
