z(1910). Jasper. Harlequin bear. Showcased by Josie Rockett 8ins a very good quality bearJasper is an extremely rare British clown or harlequin bear made between 1910 1915. I am unsure of his maker but he resembles both William J Terry and early Teddy Toys bears. Half of him is made from white mohair and the other half is black! He has a few horizontal nose stitches remaining and no paw stitching. He is entirely wood wool filled, measures 12 inches long and has a non working squeaker in his tummy.
