Vasyl Ivanovych Lopata (1941 2025) was born in the Chernihiv oblast' of Ukraine. He was an artist and prose writer. Lopata was a member of writer's guilds in Ukraine, and won numerous awards. He was known for designing the first hryvnia of Ukraine, and excelled in the areas of engraving and painting. Made in Ukraine
