focused and began photographing

False sunflowers are numerous on the west side of Wildflower Park during late spring through early autumn

I focused my attention on the wildflowers as the morning brightened up

I also thought that the grasses behind would help compliment the hoary vervain flowers

HEADING BACK THROUGH THE OAK SAVANNA Size:10X15 GALLERY WRAP As I was walking alongHeading back through the oak savanna, I notice a patch of goldenrod plants with a monarch butterfly perched atop one of the plants. With the abundance of wildflowers that include common milkweed and swamp milkweed that are host plants to the monarch caterpillars, monarch butterflies are a common site from may through September at Wildflower Park.
