I arrived at the trailhead with plenty of time before the colors of the sunrise would dominate the sky

are abundant and can be seen in bloom from late spring to early autumn at Wildflower Park

oak and hophornbeam trees of this deciduous forest in Northern Illinois

sometimes you have to break out of your daily routine to find and enjoy what has been given to us

I made that my priority today

I was looking to photograph the wildflowers and sunrise on this day in the park. I didn't have far to hike to reach the west end of the park where there was an abundance of wildflowers.
