I headed to the lake where I looked for a good place to set up the tripod and wait for the colors of the sunrise to fill the sky

I began photographing the wildflowers that consisted of blue vervain

I crossed over the South Fork Kishwaukee River and noticed the sunlight lighting up the clouds and the prairie landscape with a remarkable and beautiful light

black-eyed susan can be seen on the west side of Wildflower Park

it was in the same location within the park along Eakin Creek West which connects to the South Fork Kishwaukee River where it was alone
