I reached the trailhead soon after leaving the house with camera gear in hand and it wasn't long before I started seeing the wildflowers along the lake which included cup plants
I was looking for some good wildflower composition to photograph and came upon this swamp milkweed plant with cup plants not in bloom behind close to the trail
I came to a clearing with a few wildflowers in bloom and thought this would be a nice spot to set up the tripod and camera
