After photographing the wildflowers

blue vervain and eastern daisy fleabane just to name a few

before that happens I decided to take a quick look back and notice how beautiful it is and that the lighting was just about perfect

This image was photographed a couple weeks ago during some of the snow storms we had here in Northern Illinois

I reached the trailhead soon after leaving the house with camera gear in hand and it wasn't long before I started seeing the wildflowers that were in pristine condition and in the distance

A MORNING WALK THROUGH THE PARK HAWTHORN TREE (CRATAEGUS ) After photographing the wildflowersA few hairy wood mint plants grow on the south west part of Wildflower Park. Each year I find a few more hairy wood mint plants in the park. The fragrance is nice to smell as I walk by. (665 2043)
