Stamped on the bottom with classic signature: hand engraving, dishwasher proof, english ironstone. As a vintage item, there is some slight fading and discoloration. You will also notice some slight crazing, which I believe adds to the patina of the dish. There are a few very small chips on the backside of the plate, along the rim.
