This coat came from a warehouse that was being cleaned out - it was stored in a trunk with other vintage clothing (all from the 1930s/1940s) and it looked like it hadn't been used since WWII

This likely referred to actual gold leaf used on the tip of the cigarette to protect the lips and fingers from staining, very classy. It does have a little rust and some general wear. Still a very beautiful tin.
