Futagami Brass S-shaped Hook (Set of 2) Braun Winner of Good Design AwardIn 2009, Futagami a historic Japanese brass casting works founded in 1897 collaborated with designer Oji Masanori, creating a range of minimalist, modern homeware items. This brought about a fusion of traditional techniques with contemporary design and function. Take these S shaped hooks for example Futagami crafted them from solid sand cast brass, leaving the crude finish so that it can age and develop added character and charm through daily use.
