"Uneaten Gems" 30x30" Painting food 5” canvasThis is a 30x30 oil painting on a gallery thick, 1. 5 birch wood panel featuring a scattering of sunlit cherries on a creamy white backdrop. One of my first paintings as a professional artist captured a large, moody scene of cherries in a bowl. That painting, titled Cherries, launched my career and so returning to the same subject a few years later but painting cherries scattered on a bright tabletop, introducing light and shadow in an alternate way
