Farhat Rug An antique 1920s Ersari TurkmenA delightful 1930s Ersari Turkmen rug from north east Afghanistan. Unusually woven in pleasing pastel and light colours with a pale blue and pale yellow strapwork design. Overall wear and some wear to the base in places. The rug has been strengthened with hessian bands on the verso at each end. The original lead seal that would have been attached by the local dealer is still in place on the verso a charming and unusual touch. 178 x 120cm
