1944 USN Coconut Souvenir Uruguay clothing There are no labelsOriginal 1944 souvenir carved coconut from Uruguay. It looks like it was a gift from Paul to Marty. There is a small crack in it, near the opening drilled at the top. Uruguay was neutral for most of the war and was a safe harbor for Axis and Allied vessels from time to time although they did eventually declare war on Germany in 1945. The side has a large anchor carved in it.
