It is in its original cardboard box with the original filter. The cardboard box is a little tattered and dirty. The mask is dirty, but I don't see any signs of cracking or other damage. The lenses have yellowed and are cloudy. One corner of the box is ripped and there is a small hole in the top. Every German citizen was required by law to own a gas mask and emergency medical supplies
