I sat down at a wheel in Nelson, tried to centre a wet lump of earth, and that was that. I work across wheel throwing and handbuilding, functional vessels and more sculptural pieces. Form, proportion, surface texture, and colour are what drive the work. My influences run through Scandinavian ceramics and mid century studio
