"Coconut" Bakelite/Wood Ashtray with Inlay box This is a lovely 1930sPeriod German advertising ashtray made from the same Bakelite impregnated pressed wood that cover the Afrikakorps canteens and which was used for tent pegs. It is an extremely nice looking material and the silver inlay for Bhler furniture sets it off that much more. I am not certain of this age of this, but similar items are usually prewar or war time. The bottom is marked with a maker and Foreign 41.
