probably 1940s / 1950s (I have seen these listed elsewhere as 1930s and as late 1940s)

but since I wasn't sure what size would be needed

You can imagine being in the field with little access to a nice shower or bath would make an item like this a nice hint of civilization

The helmet has the tricolor shield carved in and painted

Two hole punched along the spine. Interesting articles of prisoners of war, fighter aces and some really nice advertisements (Dextro energy, Vasenol, etc). May ship slightly rolled.
