Antique 19th Century Swiss Infantry Shako - 37th Regiment French military history Lightly stained woolA rare and well preserved example of a Swiss infantry shako, likely issued to an enlisted man of the 37e Rgiment dInfanterie de Ligne. This pattern was worn during the 19th century. Constructed of pressed felt and leather with a stiff leather visor, the shako retains its original shape and internal structure. The exterior features a black felt overlay, likely applied historically for preservation, over the original felt shellwhich remains intact
