The is some dirt along the sides where they were folded and a couple dark specks here and there

the sole and the pattern are the same as they were in 1942

It has a rubber gasket which is a little deformed

but the notes pages are missing from the back and there are some notes on other pages also

The bottom and inside are a little rotted out, probably from a leaky battery. It wants to work, but it needs more attention than I am willing to give it to get it there. I believe the switch is the main issue and the contacts needing a decent cleaning are also contributing. If you position the switch just right you can get the light to come on for a second. This has a wire button loop
