Rare 1940’s Alfred Meakin “Ballad” Soup Bowl Contemporary was started around 1901 byThe item is an Alfred Meakin soup bowl in the Ballad pattern which is considered very rare. The soup bowl was manufactured in the 1940s and is in a magnificent sun yellow pastel glaze with the bottom being white. The Ballad pattern was released in white, cream and yellow in limited quantities before being discontinued. The item is stamped underneath Alfred Meakin England. The soup bowl is in excellent condition with no damages noted. Height: 4 cm,
