Probably vegetable dyed, new not vintage. The border is along one selvedge. One yard 44" wide weighs less than 3 ounces which is light for cotton. 44 45" wide and sold by the full yard; yours will be a continuous piece. Gently hand wash in cold water with mild detergent, without soaking for too long. Hang to dry. Excess natural colors may
