Also constantly taking the reel off and attaching it back on can become a hassle

Then, you have to squeeze the front and back together as you try to zip it up

The most major issue is the reduced impact protection as compared to a traditional solid piece helmet, with this being an issue that negates any benefits of a foldable design, as any chance of the helmet providing less protection isn't worth portability.I think for the foldable designs to be worth using, there would need to be a way to completely lock the helmet into place so that in the event of a crash, its foldable components won't cause the helmet to collapse.Regards,WillH!Report as spam If you'd allow a shameless self plug
