For a baitcaster I always recommend a minimum of 6:0:1 gear ratio, so Id certainly recommend the 100H or 100HS in this case

The larger reel, stronger rod, and additional power inspire confidence when casting bigger lures or controlling hard-fighting fish around deep structure

Dont sweat it though, there is a reason it is one of the most popular reels for the casual and more serious angler

The Popping Frog also comes out of the box with a pretty decent gap between body and hook, though Id still adjust it a little and cut the legs
