REMOVING STUBBORN SCREWS I learned the hard way for removing stubborn screws and screw eyes from PLASTIC baits...If you have one that you even THINK might break off in the lure when you have to remove the hardware...heat it up (I use a soldering iron) and the heat will transfer down the shaft of the rusted screw or eye, slightly melting the plastic and the screw will come right out
