In our experience, men's-cut backpacks dig at the shoulder strap on narrower frames, so we cut the women's pattern from a different template rather than scaling the same template down
While not waterproof, the main recycled TPU-film laminate fabric is plasticised so it'll shrug off a heavy shower if you're caught outside
